✭✭STALAZZI SINGLES✭✭REFORMULATION?✭✭

CHANGES IN STALAZZI'S SINGLE SHADOW FORMULA?

This is my second time purchasing Stalazzi's single shadows. A couple of years ago I purchased single shadows from the brand through Friends Beauty. The shadows were $3 each at that time and when I recently purchased the shadows an entire over two years later, the price remains the same, but it seems as though the shadows have changed? Stalaazi is attempting to break into the mainstream consumer bracket with a new eyeshadow palette and from the looks of it, they have reformulated their single eyeshadows. For the most part, Stalazzi's single shadows were viewed as more of a "Pro" item, something aspiring makeup artists could utilize in their kit that was both practical and affordable. The pan size of the single shadows is 36 mm and the finishes that I have experience are "pearl" and "matte" and most of my color selection fall into the berries, blues, and greens, which is my personal color comfort zone and aesthetic.

When I previously own this brand's single shadows, I ordered very similar shadows and finishes, but I was not very impressed with the brand's shadows. I found the initial swatches very uncompelling and uninteresting, and upon using these shadows on my eyes, I was equally unexcited. The shadows took some building up, which I actually don't mind, but honestly, the building up of color was an endless and painful activity that ended in a light wash of color that was barely detectable on my eyelids. The "pearl/satin" finish was super sheer and just very unappealing. It reminded me of something I could get in a Coastal Scents Hot Pot Single Shadow. I ended up selling those shadows to a friend, but when Stalazzi debuted their new eyeshadow palette, I decided to ride the horse again and see if I could find a good pace or if I would get bucked.

When the shadows arrived, I could tell with a naked eye that the shadows were quite different. They were not as dense, but a tad more loosely assembled. The shadows themselves looked more vibrant and the initial swatches were a strong improvement over my previous experience. Take a look at the pictures below, as they are unfiltered and unaltered. The shadows look very rich in pigment and appear to be very "vibrant and lively". I will say that I have only swatched these shadows. I haven't had the opportunity to actually use them on my eyes, so I cannot attest to their strength, stay powering, blendability, etc. But I can tell you that these shadows are different than those I have experience from Stalazzi before, and I am quite hopeful and excited that these visible improvements will translate into some rather beautiful eye looks.

✬✬REVIEW & RATE WEEK 38 & WEEKLY PRODUCT PICKS WEEK 39✬✬

This week's theme is Blue & Green. I am hoping to create some awesome looks that I can pull off at work and other places! Being almost 40 and wearing blue eyeshadow isn't really too common, but I rock it anyway! Take a look at the palettes I will be using below!

Next week I will begin rotating in a selection out of my "favorites drawer". Hopefully, I will be able to insert a video clip below, but essentially, I consolidated my drawers so that I could have one large empty drawer to put all my favorite palettes in and give them more attention. There will be a variety of eyeshadow palettes, and as I begin my end of the year declutter/clearout, my hope is to focus more on the eyeshadow palette I really truly enjoy and pass along others to better suited homes.

✭✭✭BRIEF OVER & REVIEW OF MY BLUE/GREEN PALETTES✭✭✭PLUS MY TOP 6

Check out my mini review os my TOP 6 palettes below!

LOVE LUXE BEAUTY SOMETHING FUN
REVIEW:
I think that you can do a lot in this little 9 pan palette, from the taupish green, to the lime green, to the silver and the blues, the palette offers a varied opportunity for the adventurous makeup wearer. I think a lot of people either sleep on Love Luxe Beauty or are not aware of how amazing they are as a brand and the quality of their products. I would check them out!
COLOURPOP BLUE MOON:
REVIEW: If you want blues, here they are at an affordable price. The only thing that kinda makes this palette dull is it's own company.Colourpop shilling out a dozen or more sister palettes in monochromatic themes, taking away the shining light on this little beauty. In all fairness to the palette, it is definitely one of the top monochromatic blue affordable palettes on the scene.

KALEIDOS COSMETICS SCI-FI GREEN
REVIEW: I love this little palette, and I am particularly fond of the brand. Kaleidos Cosmetics is just putting out hit after hit after hit, and this is no exception! This is reminiscent of the Melt Cosmetcs Gemini Palette, just streamed line and at half the price.

AFFLANO BLUE PALETTE
REVIEW: Guess where I found this sucker? On Amazon! And guess what? It has brothers and sisters in a monochromatic fashion. I don't particularly like the glitter shades, but these shades are amazing. This brand is available on Amazon and I would definitely add it to my cart!

CUSTOM BLUE GREEN PALETTE FROM SYDNEY GRACE
REVIEW: I really have nothing but wonderful things to say about this brand. High quality, reasonable price, excellent social media presence and little to no associated controversy.

ATLANTIS FACE CANDY EYESHADOW PALETTE
REVIEW: Yes! This is the one! This is my favorite palette of 2018 and the best blue/green palette I own. I am taking into account price point, performance, pigmentation, and overall appearance. I am not sure about Face Candy's origin or their current place in the beauty community but this is a stellar palette, and I love it!
