PRODUCTREVIEW

Price & Purchase Process & Packaging:

I purchased this product at a very reasonable price. It was on sale and I was able to use a coffee for an additional percentage off. There was an issue with some of the palettes arriving damage, but the company kept me informed and offered to refund my money immediately or throw in a bonus if I decided to wait. I truly appreciated the devotion to the customer and helping them starting fully informed about their order. They were kind and personable, all of which was completely unexpected, but indicative of quality customer service.

Pigmentation & Color Payoff & Performance:

Now, let me preface my review by stating that I own nearly 800 eyeshadow palettes, many of which are colorful, so I feel as a consumer, I have a wealth of knowledge to pull from and provide an accurate account of my experience while still imparting knowledge that is objective and reasonable.

This palette is a tad gimmicky and plays to the casual use of marijuana, and as a person that believes in the substantial influence of drug culture on our young minds, I think we have a responsibility to not perpetuate ill conceived notions of acceptable marketing ploys in order to obtain financial gain. With that being said, I do own the Melt Cosmetics "Smoke Sessions" Palette, however I am an adult with an informed mind and the packaging of the Melt Cosmetics palette is more sophisticated, if you can call it that, whereas, this palette's packaging is very adolescent driven. Not all fifty States in the union have legalized the user of marijuana for medicinal purposes, and I happen to love in Texas, so I'm sure you can only imagine. the Cosmetics industry is a billion dollar industry and it is a huge platform that owners have the opportunity to use to incite goodness and Justice and not continually capitalize on issues that are inappropriate for young minds. If you have the opportunity to create a brand and you center it around drug culture, what does that say about your brand? Is your product not able to stand on its own merits without attaching it to something like drug culture?

I digress.... Although I think my former point (s) are both important and valid..... The palette, with all that I've said, is quite impressive, especially for the price point and the debut eyeshadow palette from this brand. Although the swatches in the above pictures are spectacular, they are nothing compared to the color impact during the application process. It is imperative that you are gentle when you dip your brush into the pans and I find it even more prudent to additionally tap of your brush before applying the matte shades to your eye area. If you're not careful you will have more product than you possibly intend and blending might become an issue. However, when applied with a light hand, these shadows blend magnificently. When applied to the eye area, the shadows are true to color and representative of the shade in the pan. The shimmer/metallic shades are equally impressive especially when you would your brush.

Overall Product Presentation:

When I considered the political angles of this palette, I am disappointed because the product within the palette doesn't warrant the gimmick of piggybacking on popular, yet inappropriate themes co-signed by overly socially approving millennial culturalism.
