Product Name: Anastasia Glow Kit Sun Dipped

Review: For a high-end highlighting palette, you can't go wrong with Anastasia. I don't have many high-end face products (blushes & highlighters), well, I don't have a lot compared to other people. Nevertheless, for $40 you get 4 magnificent creamy shades that are appropriate for people with medium to dark skin. Huge pan sizes and high-quality pigmentation. People will see you glowing 10 feet away.

Rate: 10/10 I really don't have one bad thing to say about this highlighting palette. Whenever I use it, I really enjoy it and I am anxious to put it into a panning project.

Rotate: I am happy to keep this one at home with me!

Product Name: The Saharan Blush Palette Volume I

Review: You know I go hard for Juvia's place and this and its sister palette is no exception. These shades are unbelievable, extremely pigmented, and perfect for people of color. This palette is incredibly diverse and perfect for all seasons. The palette will last you forever because the pigmentation requires a light hand, using less product. Although it is a tad powdery/dusty, it is a mild inconvenience for the result.

Rate: 10/10 Fantastic formula, incredible price, and perfect for a wide variety of skin tones.

Rotate: This will remain in my collection along with all my other Juvia's place products.

Product Name: The Saharan Blush Palette Volume II

Review: Like its sister palette above, this blush palette is out of sight. The main difference between the two palettes are the tones. The blush palette above provides more of a bold look and would serve better on medium to darker skin, whereas this palette is much more rosey and soft and could fair well on lighter skin tones.

Rate: 10/10 Man, I am just handing out 10's like crazy! I can't help it! When something performs well and exceeds my expectations, I have to give them credit.

Rotate: Very happy to continue to have this blush palette and this will remain in my collection!

Product Name: NARS Velvet Matte, Lancome Teint Idole, Maybelline Infallible Pro Matte

Review: (a)  This is one of my favorite foundations. It wears well and the color is almost perfect. My goal is to finish it by the end of the summer. (b) I figured out that the reason I was having such difficulty with this foundation because of the primer I was using. Once, I changed it up, I had great results and a flawless finish. (c) I only have four foundations from the drugstore for a reason, and all four are my ride or die drugstore foundations. This is definitely one of them. The shade match is spot on and the coverage is awesome but totally appropriate for heatwave oven that is Summer in Houston, Texas.

Rate: 9/10 Fantastic foundation in a wide range of shades with great coverage! 7/10 Not my favorite foundation, but definitely something I can work with. Trying to use it up by the end of the year. 10/10 One of the top three foundations at the drugstore!

Rotate: All of the foundations are staying and I am attempting to narrow down my collection to 5-10 foundations by the end of the year!

Product Name: Catrice Single Eyeshadow, Revlon Photoready Eye Art, L'OewL Infallible Paint &
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Sea

Review: I pretty much have a group review for these products, which is something I rarely do. I was equally impressed with all of these products. These are some of the best drugstore products from their various respective types. For the price and the amount of product, all of these products are amazing.

Rate: 10/10 Very impressed and would recommend all these products. Stunning on the eyes and easy to use!

Rotate: All these products will be staying in my collection!

Week 21

Product Name: IBY Highlighter & Contour Kit $25

Review: I received this in a Boxycharm several months back, and as you know, I have a crap ton of makeup and I am currently panning the original Tartiest Contour Palette for my #Pan18in18, so I haven't had much opportunity to use other contour palettes. I pulled this baby out of my collection, and I was semi-impressed with it. I don't recall the MSRP of this product, but I personally don't think I would spend more than $16 dollars for this product. While the contour shades are diverse and I was able to either use one shade or combine two to find the perfect contour for my face, the highlight shades were basically all banana powders that resemble the same shade, so I not too excited about that. Since I received it in a subscription box, I can't really complain and it was definitely nice to try something different.

Rate: 6.5/10 Major point deductions for lame packaging and the similarities of shades amongst the highlight shades.

Rotate: Haven't made this a definitive decision, but I think this one is going to be listed on either Poshmark or Mercari. Check out my username and direct links to my closets above in the bolded section!

Product Name: Tarte Blush Bazaar Holiday Item 2017 $44 LE

Review: So, yeah, I'll say it again. I love Tarte's blushes. These are the only high-end blushes that I will purchases. Honestly, I am not wild about their highlighters because I do not think that it reaches the variations in skin tone and hue, but the blushes.....Yes! A lot of brands, including Tarte, tend to product half-ass quality products during the holiday season in order to produce a mass quantity for the demand of the season. Brands skimp on quality ingredients, use overseas factories (not in Italy) and prefer to increase the image and packaging of the product instead of providing a consistent product for the consumer. As I said, Tarte does this too, however, every Holiday blush item I have purchased from Tarte has been spot on regarding quality, along with stunning and inviting packaging. The only thing that this particular holiday blush palette is short on is the highlighters, which need to be more diverse instead of the stand champagne/gold. I'd like to see a rose gold, a deep olive gold, a 24 karat gold, or muave-y rose highlighter.

Rate:  9/10 One point off for the lack of useable highlighters for people of medium to deeper skin tones, however, the packaging, the blushes, the layout of the palette, and the shade selection of the blushes are top notch.

Rotate: I am a Tarte MEGA FAN, especially when it comes to their blushes. This blush/highlighter palette is staying here with momma.

Product Name: Giorgio Armiani Face Fabric $49/Cover Girl Clean Matte in Medium & Medium/Deep $7.99

Review: (a) I received this product from #Influenster and #gotitfree & #complimentary. I did a first impression video with this product which you can view HERE. I liked this product for what it is and does. As many of you know I like a very matte foundation. I like spackle and concrete as my foundation, that's just me, however, this foundation is meant to provide a natural "2nd skin" appearance, which it absolutely does. It's just not the foundation for me. It's definitely something I can use during the summer in the sun-blasted shit hole that is Texas. (b) I bought this on the recommendation of Nicole from Young, Wild, & Polished (who I happen to adore and use her knowledge for recommendations). First of all, this foundation is actually a BB Cream, perfect for the humid summer days here in Houston. Secondly, it is a matte BB Cream, but it's not too heavy or takes on a cakey appearance. Lastly, it is extremely inexpensive. My only complaint is that the shade range stinks and I have to mix two shades together to get something that works for me.

Rate: (a) 8/10 This is a great foundation, it's just not the one for me. Plain and simple. (b) 9/10  One point off for shade range.

Rotate: (a)  I will continue to keep this foundation in my collection and use it during the summer as more of a BB Cream. (b) Fantastic BB Cream that I plan to use all summer!

Product Name: Tarte Treasure Box Holiday 2017 $59 LE

Review: Tarte's holiday palettes are always elaborate in terms of packaging. It is almost always a fantastic deal, with a wide selection of shadows, and possibly an eyeliner or mascara, and maybe a face powder or two. This particular palette contains an eyeliner, a mascara, two blushes, a bronzer, a contour shade, a highlighter and 24 pans of eyeshadow. Unfortunately, I paid full price for this palette at $59, which I actually think is a steal. Tarte definitely stays in the safety zone, using very very natural colors, but the quality is quite good, which is surprising for a holiday item from any brand.

Rate: 7.5/10  I think that given the amount of product, the stellar packaging, the quality and the versatility of the palette, $59 is a more than fair price, but good Lord, when will Tarte do something wild and crazy with COLOR!

Rotate: Huge Tarte Fan! I love this palette. It's not perfect but it's staying with me.

Product Name: Beauty Junkees & Strobe Cosmetics

Review: For a full review of Strobe Cosmetics CLICK HERE! In terms of Beauty Junkees, they are a small Indie brand that I came across on Amazon. I ordered ten shadows from them to test out and see if I like them. The shadows were fairly good, but not great and I didn't think they were worth the price, but the company and the shadows themselves have great potential. At the time, the shade range was very slim, and there weren't a variety of metallics (my favs) that interested me. Also, the shadows I bought came in a bundle and I found them a curious selection to create looks with, but I was able to pull it off. I definitely prefer their mattes to their version of shimmers. The mattes were smooth but required a little building, which I don't really mind at all, but the shimmers didn't really have a "shim" to them. Frankly, I think that satin, shimmer, and matte shades with glitter are a thing of the past and we are moving into a matte, metallic, foiled, glitter kinda of eye game.

Rate: 7/10  I think that this company is building and growing and I support them as an independent brand and I believe that their formulations and variety will be reflected in their growth.

Rotate: Not only am I going to keep these around, but I think I am going to hop on their website to see if there are any new products I can snag.

Product Name: OFRA Dazzling Diamonds Eyeshadow Palette $79

Review: Honestly, I was completely uninterested in using this palette in this rotation, so I am not able to review it at this time. Whomp, Whomp!

Rate: N/A

Rotate: Will possibly be decluttered and sold on either Poshmark or Mercari.

Product Name: Urban Decay Nocturnal Shadow Box $39 LE

Review: I was only able to use this palette one time, using one shade, and so I am not able to objectively review this palette. Whomp, Whomp!

Rate: N/A

Rotate: I am going to look at all my smaller palettes, in particular my Urban Decay palettes and see if I can move some things out of my collection.

Product Name: NYX Perfect Filter Golden Hour $19.99

Review: This is a the perfect beginner/novice palette for the perfect neutral, everyday wear/work look. Although it is expensive for the drugstore/affordable bracket, it does preform well and the pan sizes are generous. I wish there was a deeper shade for the outer v, but overall this is a decent little palette, perfect for young ladies or gents just getting into eyeshadow.

Rate: 7/10 Although this is a neutral palette, it could use a tad more shade variation in the color story.

Rotate: Again, this is a very decent palette, but I have a ton of neutral eyeshadows in my collection and I think that this palette would be better served in someone else's collection. Look for it on Poshmark or Mercari.

Product Name: Marc Jacobs The Sire $59 LE

Review: This is  the first Marco Jacobs item I ever purchased and I really enjoyed using it in this rotation. High quality, rainbow color story, all shimmer/metallic, excellent pigmentation, perfect for the lid - that's the story on this palette.

Rate: 8/10  One thing that irritates me about this type of packaging from Marc Jacobs is that the clasp always breaks. UGH - so annoying. So, I have to McGyver it with a rubber band to close it.

Rotate: I am going to move this into a panning project or a pre-panning stage.
