Bougie Brie's Foundation Collection

Hey, my fellow bougie buyers! I have been wanting to fill this short video since the inception of my blog, but I have been hesitant for fear of judgment & ridicule. When it boils down to it, beauty, skin care, perfume, and blogging are my passions. As a result of these passions, I have accumulated a  more than sufficient amount of products. Some call it ridiculous, but I call it enthusiastic purchasing habits. I am proud to say that I do rotate my products weekly so that everything gets used and I keep an inventory of all of my products divided into different categories. I also have any backup products categorized, as well as skincare and scents.

The video below is a short, poorly filmed (working with what I got) collection video of my current foundations.  They are divided between Summer & Winter shades and include BB Creams and Concealers. Check it out and let me know what you think! Love  & Makeup -  Brie

June's Boxycharm!!

June's Boxycharm! Yay!
Retail Value Is...? $113.86
Eyeshadow Palette by RealHer - $28.00
Rose Gold Pro Precision Face Brush 640 by Luxie Beauty - $24.00
Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick By OFRA - $19.90
3 Sheet Mask by Biobelle Cosmetics - $14.97
Diamond 🔹 Glow Powder by Artist Couture - $26.99

This month's Boxycharm was amazing. Boxycharm has really been flexing its muscles in the heated subscription box/service battle. With many fierce and notable competitors, Boxycharm continues to increase its customer base by offering quality products that total well above the $21.00 subscription fee. This month's box totaled $113.86, which is five times the subscription cost for Boxycharm. Full sized products, reasonable price, attractive themes that relate to the target crowd... Boxycharm is knocking it out the park!

How to Use Product Boxes to Create Something Fun For Your Walls

Hey guys! Thanks for checking out my blog and this specific post. A couple of months ago,  I was binge watching YouTube videos, as you guys know I live for, and I ran across a YouTuber that had used her product boxes in the most creative way. I wish that I could remember her name, so I could give her proper credit, but it sparked a creative nerve with me and I began to save up my product boxes (mostly eyeshadow palette boxes). I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them, but I knew I wanted to do something different and fun. I googled some ideas and of course went to the Mecca of creativity - Pinterest. Pinterest gave me ideas and the direction I wanted to go in, but I wanted to keep things simple as I am not creatively or artistically inclined. I purchased 4 shadow boxes (on sale) from Hobby Lobby for $12 each (16x20) and one magnetic/cork board for ($14.99). I also purchased 50 industrial magnets ($6.49) & glue dots ($4.99). The entire project cost approximately $75 dollars (I underestimated it in the video). Please check out my little project!

A Palette & A Partner - Week 11

So, yes, I am aware that I have a ridiculous amount of eyeshaodow palettes. I am totally aware. I keep an inventory of all my products and I cycle through them each week. It doesn't justify my obsessive & ridiculous collection, but it makes me feel better. I'll probably catch a lot of hell for this, but I purchased the Modern Renaissance well over 6 months ago, and I am just now using it for the first time. I know, I know, major makeup sin according to the masses. Additionally, the life of the palette is only 6 months, so....there's that too.

Friday Haul - O -Day: Becca Muse ~ B.O.M.B (Black Owned Makeup Brand Challenge)

Through networking and sheer luck, I met a young lady who lives here in Houston that is launching a makeup company. She is a young African-American woman, who is a hard worker and is focused on the important and fulfilling parts of life. She actually reminds me of myself at her age, and as a part of the B.O.M.B challenge (Black Owned Makeup Brand) and in an effort to support local minority business I purchased all of her products, which I will be reviewing next week. As you know, I absolutely keep it real and will be objective as always, so be on the look out for a review of the following products!

Becca Muse Cosmetics

Arianne Palette

A Palette & A Partner - Week 10

So, I'm rolling into week 10 of "A Palette & A Partner," which is my effort to rotate through my makeup more effectively, in particular my eyeshadow palettes collection, which is rounding out at approximately 225 palettes (Divided into 6 categories - high end, small high end, large palettes, luxury, affordable & drugstore). Yes, I know...it's a lot. It's ridiculous and excessive and way too much, but it is what it is and I have no shame about my collection. In fact, every 2 months I declutter collection and donate the excess to a place here in Houston that helps homeless & abused women. They actually sent me a beautiful thank you card. Click here to check out the lovely note from the Mission of Yahweh. As I continue to cycle through my collection, I have a complete inventory of all my beauty & skin care products, including back ups and items used. Since there are so many products, the inventory helps me keep track of products used and those that need to be rotated in and utilized. I also have inventory in chronological order, so that the most recent items acquired  go to the end of the line, UNLESS there is an urgent need to do a review of the product. Check out this week's group!
